Students from Mrs. Parker’s and Ms. Groat’s class helped lead the charge for Paws for a Cause donations

Students at Kensington Road Elementary School came together to help support our four-legged friends.

The school just wrapped up a donation drive as part of Paws for a Cause, with students collecting items that will go towards the SPCA of Upstate New York, North Shore Animal League, and Feline Advocates Coming Together (FACT).

The donation drive was sponsored by Mrs. Parker’s class and Miss Groat’s class, and in just one week, students were able to collect an astounding amount of food, toys, and supplies for the shelters. In total, students donated 101 pounds and 10 cans of dog food, 69 pounds and 131 cans of cat food, 68 pounds of cat litter, 16 boxes of treats, and multiple bags worth of cleaning supplies, toys, collars, leashes, and blankets!

Well done by all for helping with the drive, and a shoutout to the students in Mrs. Parker’s and Miss Groat’s class for helping lead the charge for the week!
