COVID-19 hospitalizations in the Capital Region have increased 52% since November 17, from 188 to 287. Glens Falls Hospital reported Tuesday that 80% of its COVID-19 patients, and all of the COVID-19 patients in their intensive care unit, are unvaccinated. Warren County’s rolling 7-day average for test positivity stood at 10.4% and the Capital Region’s rate 7.8% as of Tuesday morning.

Presume you will be exposed to COVID-19 when going into a crowded public setting or at a workplace where you interact closely with others, and please take precautions accordingly. Today’s summary COVID update for Glens Falls City School District uses the best information that has been reported to us, either by a local health department or by parents/guardians/employees. Remember that if any confirmed case requires a mandatory quarantine of other students or adults, we have already contacted parents and staff members separately by phone. The health, safety, and well-being of our school community remains our main focus. We will continue to work closely with WCHS on how to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.

Even during pandemic operations, our GFHS students are giving back to the community by volunteering their time and talents – and we recognize them on this Giving Tuesday.
