Since the pandemic began, more than 1.5 million adolescents ages 12-17 years have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and more than 13,000 have been hospitalized, according to CDC data. The pandemic also has taken a toll on children’s mental and emotional health, social well-being and their educational experience.

Health officials stress that the vaccine for kids between the ages of 12 and 17 is safe, effective, easy, fast, and free. Their collective hope is that parents will take advantage of the vaccine and get their kids vaccinated.

On Tuesday, October 5th, Warren Co. Health Services nurses will be in the Glens Falls Middle School cafeteria from 3-4 p.m., giving one-dose J&J/Janssen and first-dose Pfizer COVID vaccinations to any interested faculty, staff, parent, or student over age 12. PLEASE CONSIDER GETTING VACCINATED IF YOU OR YOUR CHILD ARE ELIGIBLE.
