Mayor Declares Glens Falls Schools Crossing Guard Day, Honoring Everyday Heroes Who Keep Students Safe

At Tuesday's Common Council meeting, Mayor Collins proclaimed it to be Glens Falls Schools Crossing Guard Day! We sure do appreciate these wonderful police department employees who feel like an extension of our school family -- keeping our students safe on their way to and from school. The proclamation read in part, "The City of Glens Falls prioritizes public safety and the significant role that these good people play to ensure the protection of our children, as evidenced by their service, responsibility, and professionalism, and as demonstrated daily while they provide this essential public safety service for our community. We now wish to acknowledge and praise our City Crossing Guards for their diligent efforts to protect our children and by extension our families." Thank you to Sharon LaPoint, William Terrio, Jim Farrell, Susan Stone, Roberta Field, Mike Davis, Joyce Pasco, Angel Mechanick, Ed Robbins, Fred Pettis, James Capardino, Reginald Cote, Ashley Caiazzo, Christine Cutts-Delsignore, Mark  Polverelli, Deborah Chinigo, and Linda Plante!
