Nine student-musicians at Glens Falls High were selected to perform as part of the Area All-State musical ensembles on November 16th! The honored musicians (above) include:
- Sean Pettis, Alto Saxophone in the Jazz Ensemble conducted by Steve Frank
- Ryan Burchfield , Lily Duerr, and Lison Tunick in the Chorus conducted by Dr. Doreen Fryling
- Peyton Catarelli, Tenor Saxophone; Cailin Harrington, Clarinet; Erin Stockdale, Alto Saxophone; and Nicholas Teta, Trombone in the Band conducted by Dr. Jared Graham Chase
- Judy Derrick, Cello in the Orchestra conducted by Dr. Ching-Chun Lai
Each of these students learned several challenging pieces of music on their own, prior to the Area All-State festival. Their rehearsals culminated in a performance at Saratoga Springs High School.
