Because of a positive COVID case in the extended school community that was discovered this evening, winter student athletes from multiple GFHS teams may have been exposed to Coronavirus outside of school. Until Warren County Public Health can complete its contact tracing and notifications, all Glens Falls athletics are on pause until further notice. All practices, competitions, and team activities are canceled from Wednesday, Dec. 23rd forward, and will not resume until given the go-ahead by the health department and school administration.
This pause affects the Alpine Skiing, Nordic Skiing, Boys Varsity Swimming/Diving, and Bowling teams. Any student-athletes who are found to be contacts of the positive person will be contacted directly by Warren County Public Health. Privacy laws restrict district officials from disclosing any personally identifiable information of anyone who tests positive.
We want to take this opportunity to urge everyone to avoid gatherings of any size, keep to your own home, wear face masks everywhere outside your home, and regularly wash/sanitize your hands.
